Huawei nova 16s launched overseas: powered by Kirin 8020! 5G supported

Huawei held a global new product launch event in Munich, Germany, where the Huawei nova 16s was officially unveiled.
In terms of overall design and specifications, the nova 16s is essentially the international version of the nova 16, though with slight differences in configuration—for instance, the Kirin 9010S has been swapped for the Kirin 8020, and HarmonyOS has been replaced with EMUI 16.
It features a micron-level stainless steel etching process paired with an ultra-thin VC vapor chamber, and storage options include 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB variants.
Other aspects remain largely unchanged. The display is a 6.68-inch OLED flat screen with a resolution of 2800 x 1280, supporting up to a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 5500 nits, and 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
For imaging, the rear setup includes a triple-camera configuration: a 50MP main camera with QPD full-pixel precise autofocus, and a 50MP RYYB periscope telephoto lens offering 3.3x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom, equipped with OIS optical stabilization and AIS AI stabilization.
It supports the Red Maple system, paired with a 1.5MP multispectral sensor and pixel-level spectral sensing algorithms. The front features a 50MP portrait camera with a 1/2.5-inch sensor and 0.7µm pixel size.
The camera includes AI composition, AI Move object editing, AI glare removal, AI object removal, AI best-face selection, XD Portrait, and other imaging features.
It houses a 7000mAh battery with support for 100W HUAWEI SuperCharge Turbo wired fast charging.
On the software side, it comes with the Celia voice assistant and supports air gestures, allowing users to wave to scroll pages and clench a fist to trigger the shutter. The system includes a security center and privacy center, offering features such as app lock, password vault, file encryption, device finder, and permission management.
It supports 5G networks, and calls feature AI two-way noise reduction, filtering ambient noise during voice calls and internet voice calls.
