Huawei MatePad Air New Model Officially Announced: Launching with Kirin T93 Series!

Huawei MatePad Air was officially announced today and will be released on September 7, appearing alongside the Mate XT2 triple-fold device.

According to leaks, the new Huawei MatePad Air will feature a 12-inch OLED screen with 2.8K resolution and support a 144Hz high refresh rate.

It will be powered by the Kirin T93 series chip, with a built-in 10100mAh large battery. The body weighs approximately 509g with a thickness of about 5.3mm, emphasizing a slim body and higher screen-to-body ratio.

Huawei already launched the MatePad Air 2026 overseas in July this year. This is the first time the MatePad Air series uses an OLED panel, and it also offers a PaperMatte soft-light screen version.

The overseas MatePad Air 2026 also features a 12-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2800x1840, supporting 144Hz adaptive refresh rate, DCI-P3 wide color gamut, and HDR peak brightness up to 1200 nits.

It is equipped with the Kirin T93C chip, and in terms of battery, it has a built-in 10100mAh large-capacity battery with standard 66W wired fast charging. Official tests show it can last 8 hours of continuous video conferencing and up to 10 hours of HDR HD video playback.

Its body thickness is also 5.3mm with a weight of 509g, consistent with the newly leaked MatePad Air specs.

From this perspective, the new MatePad Air set to debut this time is highly likely to be the domestic version of the MatePad Air 2026 previously released overseas.
