Honor Magic9 series set for end-September launch: In collaboration with century-old giant ARRI, imaging surpasses Apple

This September, the mobile phone industry will usher in a new wave of flagship phones arriving intensively, with multiple manufacturers' new-generation high-end products launching together, expected to become one of the most fiercely competitive flagship release months in recent years.
Today, digital blogger “Digital Chat Station” revealed that the Honor Magic9 series is tentatively scheduled for release at the end of September.
If this timeline proceeds as planned, the Honor Magic9 series is expected to complete its launch and first sale before the National Day holiday, leveraging holiday foot traffic to boost offline store experience热度 and gain greater market attention in the early stages of the new product launch.
In terms of core specifications, the Honor Magic9 series will be among the first to carry Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6 flagship platform.
The chip will adopt TSMC's N2P 2nm process, delivering further upgrades in performance, energy efficiency, and on-device AI capabilities.
The Magic9 series will also become Honor's first flagship phone to enter the 2nm era.
Imaging will be another core upgrade for the Honor Magic9 series.
The imaging technology jointly developed by Honor and ARRI, a German professional film equipment brand, will be fully applied to the Magic9 series, expected to achieve a qualitative leap in both video and photography.
Founded in 1917, ARRI has long-standing expertise in cinema cameras, optical systems, color management, and film production workflows. Its equipment and technology are widely used in professional creative scenarios such as films and documentaries.
It is worth noting that Honor CEO Li Jian previously stated that the new imaging technology jointly developed by Honor and ARRI will surpass Apple's imaging.
As various flagship phones launch in September, the new round of high-end phone competition will no longer be limited to hardware specifications. Chip energy efficiency, imaging style, video creation capabilities, and AI experience will all become key factors for manufacturers competing for high-end users.
