Insta360 GO Ultra receives a major update: control the camera with just your voice

Insta360 officially released preview content, and its pocket flagship camera Insta360 GO Ultra will receive a major update.

The core of this upgrade is the launch of the dedicated voice assistant Kira, which should better solve the pain point of not being able to operate the camera when hands are occupied during cycling, skiing, or filming while carrying a child.

Previously, the camera already supported Voice Control 2.0, which can control the camera even with vague commands. Whether holding a child with both hands or skiing with gloves on, just moving your mouth is enough to never miss a great shot. After this update brings the full voice assistant, the range of functions will be greatly expanded.

This pocket camera was officially released last year, priced at 2598 yuan, with the body weighing only 53 grams. Its compact size allows it to be clipped to the chest or helmet to record first-person footage.

It features a 1/1.28-inch large sensor and a 5nm AI chip, supporting 4K/60fps HD video, 2x lossless zoom, action HDR, and portrait filters — all fully equipped. The wide-angle image has undergone distortion optimization, so edge images won't appear warped or deformed.

Battery life places it in the top tier among cameras of the same size. The standalone unit can continuously record 4K video for one hour; with the expansion case, 4K battery life extends to 170 minutes, and in 1080p mode it can shoot for up to 200 minutes.

The body comes with a 2.5-inch flip-up touchscreen and supports freely interchangeable SD cards, so you don't need to worry about storage during long outdoor shoots. In everyday cycling with wind noise or noisy outdoor environments, the built-in noise reduction and voice enhancement features clearly preserve speech.

Stabilization is paired with 360-degree horizon leveling. Even when leaning into a turn on a bike or flipping in the air, the horizon stays steady. The standalone unit also supports 10-meter waterproofing, so no extra protective housing is needed for everyday water activities.

When cycling, climbing mountains, or holding a child with both hands while shooting, you don't need to raise your hand to touch the body — simply calling out voice commands can start or stop recording, switch shooting parameters, and adjust image settings. There's no need to stop mid-action to operate the device, so you won't miss fleeting moments.
