Headlight bottleneck! Li Auto i6 production reduced by about 4,000 units: Product manager responds

July 27, Kuai Technology News: Li Xinyang, head of the product line at Li Auto, published an article today reporting on the latest mass production progress of the Li i6.

In mid-to-late July, due to temporary fluctuations in the supply of front headlights, the production of Li i6 decreased by about 4,000 units compared to the original plan.

Currently, the supply of front headlights and vehicle production have returned to normal. Li Auto is working with supply chain partners to accelerate production recovery so that the delivery time for customers who have placed orders is not affected.

According to previous reports, Li Auto product manager @若愚_Allen announced on July 21 that the 160,000th mass-produced Li i6 vehicle officially rolled off the assembly line, and the model has exceeded 20,000 sales for four consecutive months.

The Li i6 pure electric SUV began deliveries on September 27, 2025 at Li Auto's Changzhou intelligent manufacturing base, with an official starting price of 249,800 RMB.

The vehicle features a 3-meter wheelbase, five-seat space, equipped with a front 16.8-inch head-up display, a 3K dual screen, and a rear 21.4-inch 3K large screen, with the built-in Li Auto Assistant MindGPT large model.

Available with single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive, the former has a maximum power of 250kW, while the latter adds an additional 150kW front motor, with a system maximum power of 400kW.

Equipped with an 87.3 kWh 5C LFP battery pack, with a maximum CLTC pure electric range of 720km, all variants are built on an 800V high-voltage platform and support 5C ultra-fast charging.
