BYD released its 2026 semi-annual financial report: exports surged 67.9% to nearly 790,000 vehicles!

BYD officially released its 2026 interim results report. Amid intensifying price wars and fierce market competition in the domestic new energy industry, the company delivered a half-year report card with clear divergence.
According to the financial report, BYD achieved total operating revenue of RMB 344.82 billion in the first half of 2026; net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company reached RMB 12.33 billion; earnings per share stood at RMB 1.35.
R&D investment in the first half reached RMB 28.9 billion, with cumulative R&D spending surpassing RMB 270 billion, as the company continues to ramp up investment in core technologies across vehicles, batteries, and energy storage.
Net cash flow from operating activities amounted to RMB 37.3 billion, with book cash reserves of RMB 167.4 billion, maintaining a stable and safe overall cash flow position.
On the production and sales front, the group sold a cumulative 1.8085 million vehicles in the first half, of which overseas exports reached 789,000 units, surging 67.9% year-on-year. In June alone, overseas sales exceeded 174,900 units, setting a new monthly record, making overseas business the most important growth engine.
At the business level, BYD continued to consolidate its global leadership in both new energy vehicles and energy storage. The energy storage business is running at full order capacity, with production orders already booked through 2028, forming a second growth curve.
The premium product matrix comprising Denza, Fangchengbao, and Yangwang continued to gain momentum, selling 227,900 units in half a year, up 61% year-on-year, with steady progress in upward brand positioning. New technologies such as the second-generation Blade Battery and flash charging platform are gradually being deployed in vehicles, accelerating product iteration and upgrades.
Notably, on this very day, BYD's 10,000th flash charging station has officially been launched, covering 332 cities, delivering an industry-leading charging experience of a five-minute charge for a full battery and nine minutes to full capacity.
