Flash charging on board, pure electric range starts at 230km! BYD Qin Max launched: starting at 99,900 yuan

BYD's Dynasty series all-new B-class sedan, the Qin MAX, was officially launched this evening, offering both DM-i plug-in hybrid and EV pure electric powertrains across nine models. The DM-i versions are priced from 99,900 to 129,900 yuan, while the EV versions range from 109,900 to 143,900 yuan. All EV models come standard with the "flash charging + second-generation blade battery" combination.
Here are the prices for each version:
DM-i versions: 230KM Leading 99,900 yuan, 230KM Surpassing 109,900 yuan, 320KM Surpassing 119,900 yuan, 320KM Excellence 129,900 yuan;
EV versions: 530KM Leading 109,900 yuan, 530KM Surpassing 119,900 yuan, 530KM Excellence 129,900 yuan, 630KM Surpassing 132,900 yuan, 630KM Excellence 143,900 yuan.
Additionally, all models offer three optional two-tone body colors (3,000 yuan, deliveries starting in September), and select models can be equipped with the optional God's Eye B assisted driving laser version (12,000 yuan).
In terms of benefits, the new car offers financial plans such as 0 down payment with up to 5-year extended loans and 65,000 yuan over 24 months at 0% interest. BYD provides a 4,000 yuan trade-in subsidy for its own brand vehicles and 3,000 yuan for other brands. First owners of non-commercial vehicles enjoy lifetime warranty on the three-electric system, a 6-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty, and lifetime free OTA updates with basic data.
Two "trump card benefits" deserve special mention: The assisted driving peace-of-mind package promises full coverage for urban navigation safety and intelligent parking scenario safety and losses within one year of delivery. The flash charging trial benefit offers EV owners one year of free charging at BYD flash charging stations. If delivery is delayed beyond 30 days after order confirmation, one additional day of free flash charging is added for each day of delay.
Specifically, the Qin MAX measures 4,866mm in length with a 2,820mm wheelbase, making it 36mm longer and 30mm longer in wheelbase than the Qin L. Its dimensions are comparable to the Camry (2,825mm wheelbase), officially crossing into traditional B-class sedan territory.
The car's core selling points are "three bigs": big size, big space, and big power. It features 27 storage compartments throughout, a 523L trunk expandable to 1,450L, and the EV version also boasts a class-leading 115L front trunk with wet/dry separation. The high-power EV version is equipped with a 240kW motor, achieving 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, surpassing the power output of the Model 3 Long Range RWD version.
The new car's exterior and interior design lean toward a younger audience, offering six exterior colors: Cloud Pink (available in single or two-tone), Star Moon Purple (single or two-tone), Forest Green (single or two-tone), Twilight Silver, Danxia Orange, and Soft Snow White. Interior options include Light Sand Gray and Dawn Purple, a first for the Qin family.
Inside, the car features a new two-spoke steering wheel, a 10.8-inch W-HUD, and a floating center console screen powered by the DiLink 150 cockpit system, supporting AI full-scenario voice control and wireless karaoke. The front seats offer electric adjustment, heating, ventilation, and massage, along with 50W wireless fast charging, a built-in refrigerator, a panoramic sunroof with electric sunshade, and heated steering wheel.
In terms of assisted driving, the Qin MAX comes standard with the God's Eye system across all models, covering capabilities such as narrow-road passing, stop-and-go traffic following, automatic lane changes, traffic light countdown, and one-touch parking. Users seeking advanced features can add 12,000 yuan for the God's Eye B assisted driving laser version, gaining urban navigation capability.
The chassis is another key area of technology democratization. The Qin MAX adopts a front MacPherson + rear five-link independent suspension, with an optional YunNian-C intelligent damping body control system. This technology, previously common in 200,000-yuan-class vehicles, now enters the 100,000-yuan sedan market, adjusting damping in real-time based on road conditions to balance handling and comfort.
For powertrain and range, the DM-i version is equipped with the fifth-generation DM system, featuring a 1.5L engine with 74kW and a motor with 175kW, paired with 25.287kWh and 34.275kWh batteries. It offers pure electric ranges of 230km and 320km, with a class-leading low fuel consumption of 2.59L/100km when the battery is depleted, and a combined maximum range of 2,370km.
The EV version comes with 52.87kWh and 64.315kWh batteries, offering ranges of 530km and 630km. With flash charging, it can charge from 10% to 70% in just 5 minutes and from 10% to 97% in about 9 minutes. Even in extreme cold conditions at -30°C, charging time only increases by 3 minutes.
Lu Tian revealed at the launch event that BYD has already built over 7,000 flash charging stations covering 325 cities, and recently signed a formal agreement with Sinopec. In the future, flash charging stations will appear next to gas stations.
From a brand strategy perspective, the Qin MAX's debut accompanies a major product overhaul of the Dynasty series, with the entire L series being discontinued. The Qin family now transitions to a "New Qin PLUS + Qin MAX" dual-car lineup covering lower and higher price points. The Qin MAX is positioned above the Qin L, targeting the 110,000-150,000 yuan segment.
In this market, the Deepal L06 (starting at 125,900 yuan), Geely Galaxy A7, and Xpeng MONA M03 are direct competitors. The Qin MAX's differentiation lies in its dual powertrain appeal, flash charging capability, and optional laser radar. Among these, its unique "5-minute charging for hundreds of kilometers" flash charging capability will be the Qin MAX's strongest trump card.
