FREELANDER brand's first production model, the Shenxing 8, has officially opened pre-sales today. This luxury tech all-terrain SUV, developed in collaboration between Chery and Jaguar Land Rover, features a 2+2+2 six-seat layout and falls into the standard mid-to-large SUV category.

For the interior, the Shenxing 8's seats feature a high-end tailored piping edge design, using the same Piping craftsmanship as top luxury brands, with 100% renewable contrasting yarn. Although this increases costs by 20%, it enhances the seats' three-dimensional feel and refinement.

The driver's seat is equipped with the industry's only detachable headrest speakers. The first and second-row seats support one-touch fold-flat into a bed, and combined with the ceiling-mounted screen and ambient lighting, the cabin can quickly transform into a camping rest mode.

The Shenxing 8 features a 17.3-inch Mini LED eye-protection ceiling screen, certified by both SMPTE and THX, meeting Hollywood theater-level viewing standards. The screen's optimal viewing angle is 30 to 40 degrees, with an optimal viewing distance of 0.5 to 0.9 meters, specifically optimized for the vehicle's interior space.

The onboard hot-cold box has a 10L capacity, supports 24-hour temperature retention, and achieves over 99% UV sterilization. It supports voice control and anti-pinch protection, accommodating cold drinks, warm milk, and medications. The vehicle comes with 9 privacy windows, and the second row is equipped with electric side window sunshades with a 97% shading rate, the highest in its class.

For safety features, the Shenxing 8 is equipped with the longest dual-generator side curtain airbag in its class at 3140mm, extending from the A-pillar to behind the D-pillar, protruding 123mm beyond the third-row headrests. It is the only side curtain airbag design in its class that extends coverage behind the third-row headrests.

Additionally, it features the industry's only independent side airbags for the third row, providing dedicated lateral protection for third-row passengers. The dual-generator design delivers greater inflation volume and longer pressure retention during side collisions, preventing secondary injuries.

More critically, the Shenxing 8 equips the third row with the industry's only seat heating and ventilation functions, actively dispelling stuffy heat. In the six-seat SUV market, third-row heating is already rare, and ventilation is virtually unmatched by competitors.
