Tesla Delivers 497,099 Vehicles in Q3 2025

Tesla announced that it delivered 497,099 vehicles worldwide in the third quarter of 2025, marking a 7.3% year-over-year increase and surpassing market expectations of 439,612 units.

In the United States, sales were boosted by a surge in demand ahead of the expiration of the $7,500 Inflation Reduction Act tax credit at the end of September. In China, the launch of the six-seat Model Y L drove weekly retail sales to over 4,000 units, with deliveries rising about 45% month-on-month and order backlogs now stretching into November. Meanwhile, across the eight largest European markets, Tesla’s deliveries in the first two months of the quarter climbed 22% compared with the previous period.

However, Tesla produced 447,450 vehicles during the same quarter, down 4.8% year-over-year, creating a gap between production and deliveries. Analysts note that part of the delivery growth may have come from existing inventory. With the U.S. market’s growth heavily reliant on policy incentives, concerns remain over whether demand will hold up after the expiration of the tax credit.
