BYD Flagship SUV Sealion 08 Interior Official Photos Released: Minimalist Luxury, Doesn't Follow the Trend of Adding a Passenger Screen

BYD Ocean Network General Manager Zhang Zhuo shared official interior photos of the Sea Lion 08, which features a six-seat layout and is the first flagship SUV of the Ocean Network.
The overall design adopts a minimalist wraparound layout, with large areas of soft leather material covering the interior. The center console and door panels incorporate exclusive mother-of-pearl texture trim, paired with a through-type adjustable ambient light strip and oval chrome air vents, giving it a distinctive ocean-style identity.
The interior color scheme focuses on a light beige light-luxury palette, with meticulous stitching and craftsmanship that balance a warm, homey feel. The center console features a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch adaptive rotating floating screen, powered by the latest DiLink intelligent cockpit system, while retaining a few physical buttons for both aesthetics and blind-operation convenience.
Notably, the new car does not follow the trend of equipping a passenger entertainment screen, which is indeed rare among current flagship SUVs and reflects the designers' refusal to follow trends blindly.
Positioned as a mid-to-large SUV, the vehicle measures 5115*1999*1800mm with a wheelbase of 3030mm. Inside, it adopts an independent 2+2+2 six-seat layout, with two independent aviation-style seats in the second row featuring armrests and a wide central aisle, allowing access to the third row without moving the front seats.
High-end versions come with second-row zero-gravity seats, electric leg rests, ventilation/heating/massage functions, and optional on-board tables. The third row uses a theater-style elevated design for better visibility, while a large ceiling-mounted entertainment screen meets rear-seat audio-visual needs.
In addition, the vehicle features a multi-layer sound insulation structure throughout, paired with a Dynaudio premium audio system to create a quiet cabin. It also comes with three-zone independent automatic climate control, allowing front and rear temperatures to be adjusted separately. High-end versions include an on-board refrigerator and a full-area fragrance system.
The Sea Lion 08 series is equipped with BYD's second-generation Blade Battery, CTB battery-body integration technology, flash charging technology, and fifth-generation DM hybrid technology, along with rear-wheel steering, DiSus-A intelligent body control system, dual-chamber air suspension, and a road preview system.
In terms of powertrain, the plug-in hybrid version features a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system with a maximum engine output of 115kW, offering single-motor and dual-motor versions. The single-motor version has a maximum power of 200kW, while in the dual-motor version, both front and rear motors deliver 200kW each. The pure electric range under CLTC conditions reaches up to 400km.
The pure electric version offers three powertrain configurations covering single and dual motors. The single-motor versions have maximum outputs of 320kW and 370kW respectively, while the dual-motor version features front and rear motors with maximum outputs of 215kW and 370kW. It offers 92.093kWh and 115.072kWh battery options, with CLTC range of 710km/800km/900km.
