First for a Chinese enterprise! Momenta secures Germany's nationwide L4 testing license, enabling direct operation without city-by-city approval.

Momenta officially announced that Momenta has recently obtained a license from the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) to conduct L4 autonomous driving tests on urban roads across Germany.

This is the first time a Chinese company has obtained L4 testing qualification covering national urban roads in Germany.

According to the introduction, the value of this license lies in the word "national." Previously, autonomous driving companies in Germany typically needed to apply city by city for testing. With Momenta's approval, it can directly operate on urban roads nationwide, and the safety verification standards are directly aligned with the EU framework, significantly improving testing efficiency.

KBA is recognized as one of the world's most stringent traffic safety regulatory agencies. The granting of the license means that Momenta's technical maturity and system safety have been tested against the strictest European standards.

Momenta has been deeply involved in the German market for many years, establishing long-term and deep collaborations with Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, and the Volkswagen Group.

At the Munich Auto Show last September, Momenta and Uber jointly announced that Munich would be the global launch city for their Robotaxi project. Operations are expected to officially commence this year, and local citizens will be able to hail Momenta's Robotaxi vehicles via the Uber platform.

Momenta CEO Cao Xudong stated that Germany is a global benchmark in autonomous driving regulation. True autonomous driving requires not only "seeing" road conditions but also "understanding" them, predicting changes in the physical world and interaction logic. This is the core value of Momenta's world model. Every kilometer of testing drives AI feedback, iteration, and evolution.

The company uses the same large model to support the large-scale deployment of passenger cars, Robovan, Robotruck, and Robotaxi.
