Huawei MateBook S scheduled for August: weighs only 798g, breaking the lightweight notebook record

Huawei Terminal recently previewed that the Zunjie era flagship MPV and Huawei All-Scenario New Product Launch will be officially held on August 5. According to blogger Dingjiao Shuguang, Huawei will launch a lightweight laptop at this press conference, tentatively named MateBook S, priced around 6,000 yuan, with the internal codename "Monroe."

It is reported that the total weight of this lightweight laptop is only 798 grams, once again setting a record for laptop lightweighting. In comparison, the MacBook Air and MacBook Neo both weigh 1.23 kg, giving the Huawei MateBook S a clear advantage in portability.

Blogger Kanshan Shu further revealed that this lightweight laptop will be equipped with the Kirin XE90 processor, offering four versions: standard, collector's, privacy, and matte screen, and will be available in five colors: yellow, white, gray, purple, and black. In terms of memory, the base configuration starts at 16GB, with a maximum option of 32GB RAM and 1TB storage to meet the performance needs of different users.

On the software side, the Huawei MateBook S will feature the new HarmonyOS computer operating system, achieving deep interconnection with phones and tablets. It is understood that once the keyboard and mouse are shared between a phone, tablet, and computer, users can enable eye-tracking functionality.

When the eyes look at the target device, the cursor and keyboard automatically transfer to that device and are ready for use. While editing a document on the computer, looking at the phone and pressing the Ctrl key allows the mouse to call up images from the phone, quickly completing image selection and insertion—the entire process is smooth and efficient.

Additionally, the HarmonyOS computer version comes with the Xiaoyi smart assistant. When a user needs to extract key data from various materials on the computer and summarize marketing investment trends from recent years, Xiaoyi can quickly retrieve the required information from multiple local documents, directly perform data aggregation and calculation results, significantly improving information processing efficiency.
