Huawei MateBook Pro S global debut of 3D stepped fan blades: HarmonyOS thin and light laptop with stable power consumption of 20W

Huawei officially announced the core performance specifications and cooling technology solution for its new flagship notebook, the MateBook Pro S, at today's Hongmeng PC Technology Communication Meeting.
This model is equipped with the new Kirin XE90 high-efficiency PC processor and, through the industry-first "four-layer all-domain cooling system," achieves a sustained and stable performance release of 20W within an extremely thin and light chassis.
The Kirin XE90, as the core of this upgrade, has undergone a comprehensive evolution in underlying architecture compared to the Kirin X90. According to official data, its single-core performance has increased by 23%, significantly reducing the startup time of everyday software. The energy efficiency ratio has improved by 25%, achieving a better balance between performance output and power consumption control.
For AI office scenarios, its NPU performance has increased by 40%, providing a computing foundation for various AI-powered intelligent operations.
In terms of cooling, the MateBook Pro S is the first to adopt a ceramic composite thermal packaging, combined with substrate micro-hole thermal conduction technology, which enhances the chip's own heat dissipation capability by 70%.
For the thermal interface material, Huawei has abandoned the traditional PCM thermal pad in favor of vertically arranged high-thermal-conductivity graphene. This material boasts a thermal conductivity coefficient of up to 130W/M.K, offering a 50% improvement in vertical thermal conduction capability compared to ordinary materials, allowing heat to be transferred more quickly from the chip to the airflow path.
In the active cooling stage, the MateBook Pro S introduces the industry's first 3D stepped fan blade design. This structural optimization increases fan airflow by 20%, effectively improving hot air exhaust efficiency while also managing operating noise performance.
By connecting the entire chain of packaging, thermal interface materials, and fan structure, this machine achieves a rare sustained performance release of 20W for a thin and light laptop, avoiding severe heat buildup and frequency throttling under heavy loads.
On the software side for office applications, the Ark Engine has been specifically optimized and accelerated for heavy office scenarios. In actual tests, the MateBook Pro S demonstrated excellent speed in handling large files: opening a 1GB oversized PPT presentation took only 2.6 seconds, decompressing a 2.5GB compressed file took 3.2 seconds, and handling complex Excel batch formula calculations took just 4.2 seconds.
In terms of entertainment graphics capabilities, this new product marks a major breakthrough in the Hongmeng PC ecosystem, being the first to support hardware-level ray tracing adaptation for mobile games. Relying on the stable 20W performance release and excellent cooling tuning, the new machine can stably run mobile games with real-time ray tracing effects.
It is currently compatible with "NBA 2K Mobile," accurately restoring on-court lighting, ground reflections, and environmental light and shadow details, greatly enhancing the sense of realism and atmosphere in the visuals.
