Huawei officially announces the HarmonyOS foldable PC MateBook Fold Ultimate Design: equipped with the new Kirin XE90 Plus

Huawei officially announced its new foldable laptop — the Huawei MateBook Fold Ultimate at the HarmonyOS Laptop Technology Communication Conference today. The new product will be officially released on August 5.

In terms of display, the new product features the world's largest 18-inch dual-layer OLED flexible screen and is equipped with the world's first non-Newtonian fluid composite UTG impact-resistant stack, significantly improving impact and bending resistance. It has received the world's first Swiss SGS Gold Standard Five-Star Screen Drop Impact Resistance Certification.

In terms of performance, The MateBook Fold Ultimate is powered by the new Kirin X90 Plus processor. Leveraging deep hardware-software-core-cloud synergy, the overall system performance is improved by 25%. Combined with the ultra-smooth Ark Engine and super memory technology, file processing and multitasking office efficiency are significantly enhanced.

Software experiences are also upgraded simultaneously: The new product natively supports "Born to Draw," innovatively launching an "upper drawing, lower viewing" mode for more efficient creation; Huawei Notes is revamped, utilizing the foldable dual-screen to achieve "upper search, lower note-taking," and "Panoramic Smart Notes" supports cross-device recording and intelligent summaries; the HDR high-brightness brush fully leverages the advantages of the large screen display.

In terms of ecosystem partnerships, Huawei has collaborated with partners such as East Money, Tonghuashun, ZWCAD, WPS, BOSS Whiteboard, and Wukong Images to create a customized dual-screen app ecosystem, covering core scenarios including finance, office, design, and creation.

Currently, the HarmonyOS laptop ecosystem continues to expand, with the total number of apps exceeding 19,000, and compatibility with over 1,700 general-purpose peripherals and over 1,600 professional peripherals.
