Chengdu Auto Show global debut! BYD's third-generation Tang officially announced with panoramic giant screen and oversized star-ring display

On August 20, Lu Tian, General Manager of BYD's Dynasty Network Sales Division, revealed on Weibo that the third-generation Tang will feature a panoramic giant screen and an ultra-large star ring display, and released renderings of the vehicle's center console area. According to the plan, this new model will debut globally at the Chengdu Auto Show tomorrow.
From the images, the third-generation Tang adopts a minimalist tech-forward interior design. The cabin's centerpiece is a floating large screen spanning the center console, with a slim aspect ratio, narrow bezels, and rounded corners. Above the screen, there is also a horizontal instrument display area where speed, navigation, weather, time, and other information can be centrally shown.
Additionally, the new model is positioned as a large five-seat tech flagship SUV, with body dimensions of 5045×1980×1760mm and a wheelbase of 2950mm, providing ample interior space for passengers. In terms of features, the "God's Eye B" intelligent driving system is standard across all trims, further lowering the entry barrier for advanced smart driving.
For powertrain and range, the third-generation Tang is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 300kW, paired with second-generation blade batteries, offering two battery capacity options, with a maximum CLTC pure electric range of up to 850 kilometers.
It also features BYD's flash charging technology, which can replenish the battery from 10% to 70% in just 5 minutes under normal ambient temperatures, significantly alleviating range anxiety on long trips. The chassis is equipped with the Yun-A intelligent air suspension system, featuring dual-chamber air suspension and road preview functionality.
