At the 2026 Chengdu Auto Show, Chery Jaguar Land Rover's Freelander 8 has updated its pre-sale pricing. With multiple purchase benefits stacked, the starting price drops to 329,900 yuan, and the new car comes standard with Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 intelligent driving across all trims.
Additionally, pre-sales for the vehicle began on August 14, with the original pre-sale price range set at 339,900 to 449,900 yuan.
The benefits announced at this auto show are quite extensive: a 1,000 yuan deposit can be applied toward 6,000 yuan off the purchase price; brand loyalty customers can receive a trade-in subsidy of up to 15,000 yuan, while customers from other brands can also enjoy a 10,000 yuan subsidy.
At the same time, a low-barrier financing plan is offered, supporting zero down payment with an average annual loan rate as low as 1.99%. For a limited time, the 50,000-yuan i-ATS intelligent all-terrain system is also included as a complimentary gift, with discounts simultaneously available for paint, interior, and charging pile options.
With the benefits applied, the PRO version starts at 329,900 yuan, the MAX version at 359,900 yuan, and the MAX+ version at 409,900 yuan.
The Freelander 8 retains a rugged off-road exterior style with a spacious body, a wheelbase reaching 3,040 mm, and a 2+2+2 six-seat layout. The cabin is lavishly equipped, with second-row zero-gravity seats featuring heating, and the first two rows can fold flat to create a bed at the touch of a button.
On the intelligent front, the vehicle is co-developed with Huawei, Qualcomm, and CATL. It comes standard with Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 intelligent driving across all trims and is equipped with the next-generation Snapdragon 8397 automotive-grade chip, delivering a significant boost in computing power over the previous generation. On the hardware side, it features an 800V high-voltage platform as standard, paired with a CATL battery, offering a CLTC pure electric range of 310 km.
For powertrain, it is equipped with a highly efficient 1.5T range extender that runs on regular 92-octane gasoline. The dual-motor all-wheel drive delivers impressive output, achieving 0-100 km/h acceleration in 4.6 seconds. Features such as rear-wheel steering, air suspension, and variable-damping shock absorbers are all included as standard, balancing urban commuting agility with off-road capability.
