At today's technical communication meeting, Xiaomi released three self-developed chips targeting different market segments: the flagship mobile processor Xuanjie O3 (whose official performance metrics far exceed Apple's A19 Pro), the Xuanjie O100 designed for high-end computing scenarios, and the Xuanjie D100 covering automotive chips. This marks the official debut of Xiaomi's multi-category, full-scenario self-developed chip strategy.

In Lei Jun's words, the most critical pillar supporting Xiaomi's hardcore self-developed achievements today is the company's unwavering determination from top to bottom to tackle foundational technologies head-on, with no shortcuts or opportunistic paths available.

According to information he shared on site, Xiaomi officially restarted its large-scale chip R&D roadmap over five years ago. During this period, cumulative R&D investment has exceeded 21 billion yuan, and the dedicated chip R&D team has grown to nearly 3,000 senior technical experts.

Lei Jun also specifically highlighted a key milestone in Xiaomi's self-developed chip journey: the official release of the first-generation flagship chip Xuanjie O1, fully designed in-house by the team.

This chip is the first flagship SoC in mainland China built on 3nm advanced process technology, debuting in the Xiaomi 15S Pro smartphone and two Pad 7 flagship tablet products. Thanks to its excellent real-world performance combining high power efficiency and low energy consumption, it received unanimous praise from both the industry and consumers after launch.

From the cautious观望 when the first-generation self-developed chip was released, to now unveiling three chips covering different application scenarios at once, Xiaomi has invested over 20 billion yuan in five years to deeply cultivate the most hardcore underlying technologies, successfully navigating a full-stack self-development path that few domestic consumer electronics manufacturers dared to tread.
