Xiaomi's moment in the spotlight! The Xuanjie O3 is poised for launch: reaching the pinnacle of domestically developed chips.

Xiaomi's efforts in self-developed chips are accelerating. According to the latest supply chain news, Xiaomi's new-generation Xuanjie chip completed tape-out at the end of 2025 and passed the first power-on test on the same day. It has now entered the terminal integration stage, with the official launch countdown underway.
Lei Jun, founder, chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi, officially teased via Weibo that the new-generation Xuanjie chip is about to be released. Notably, the device tag on Lei Jun's Weibo account has been switched to an unidentified mystery phone, widely speculated to be the test device powered by the new Xuanjie chip.
Lu Weibing, partner and president of Xiaomi Group, also revealed during a recent earnings call that the Xuanjie O1 chip launched last year has surpassed one million cumulative shipments across three terminals, achieving large-scale validation of a flagship chip. Following the release of the new-generation Xuanjie chip, a wave of flagship products is expected to hit the market in quick succession.
Looking back at the development of the Xuanjie chip, at Xiaomi's Investor Day in April this year, Lei Jun announced that Xuanjie O1 shipments had exceeded one million units and hinted that future self-developed chips would expand into Xiaomi's automotive sector. This signals that Xiaomi's chip strategy is extending from smartphones to a broader smart ecosystem.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 18 Pro series has also been registered with regulators, with filing information showing the series will feature a 2nm Snapdragon flagship chip, support 100W fast charging, N79 5G bands, and UWB ultra-wideband technology, with comprehensive upgrades across display, imaging, and performance.
From the million-unit shipments of Xuanjie O1 to the successful first power-on of the new-generation chip, Xiaomi's pace on the self-developed chip path is growing increasingly steady. With the upcoming release of the new Xuanjie chip and the dense launch of multiple flagship products, Xiaomi is poised to further strengthen its competitiveness in the high-end market.
