Huawei's new Kirin XE90 PC processor debuts: single-core performance improves 23%, energy efficiency improves 25%

July 29, TechFast News: Huawei held a HarmonyOS computer technical communication meeting today, introducing the new notebook MateBook Pro S. This machine features a first-of-its-kind mortise-and-tenon integrated structure, combining ultra-light magnesium-lithium alloy with a three-section motherboard design. The entire machine weighs only 798g, making it the lightest laptop in Huawei's history.
In terms of performance, the new Kirin XE90 PC processor makes its debut simultaneously, with the MateBook Pro S being the first to feature it. Compared to the previous generation, its single-core performance improves by 23%, energy efficiency by 25%, and NPU computing power leaps by 40%.
At the same time, the notebook, combined with new thermal materials and architecture optimization, improves the chip's self-cooling capability by 70%, and the overall performance release can reach 20W.
Zhu Dongdong, President of Huawei's Terminal BG Tablet and PC Product Line, stated at the meeting that in the future, they will rely on the unified base of the HarmonyOS to cover full-scenario user needs, with the product matrix covering HarmonyOS tablets, HarmonyOS commercial tablets, HarmonyOS computers, and HarmonyOS commercial computers.
In addition, Huawei also officially announced another heavyweight new product today – the HarmonyOS foldable computer MateBook Fold Extraordinary Master. Both new devices are scheduled to make their official debut on August 5.
