PS6 performance reportedly double that of PS5! 120fps no problem, easily handles ray tracing.

According to GameGPU, the hardware technical specifications and performance details of Sony's next-generation gaming console, the PlayStation 6 (PS6), have recently been leaked.
It is reported that the PS6 will feature a hybrid CPU computing unit built on the AMD Zen 6C architecture.
Compared to the base PS5 and the upgraded Pro version, this new computing unit will provide at least a 2x performance improvement. This powerful technical foundation allows the console to easily handle the increasing load of modern game engines, while processing complex scene geometry, artificial intelligence (AI), and physics calculations without any frame drops.
The significant boost in processor computing power will also directly drive graphics performance. In standard mode, the PS6 can deliver a stable 60 frames per second experience at high resolutions. For users with monitors or TVs supporting a 120Hz refresh rate, the console will also offer a performance mode, providing smooth visuals up to 120fps in dynamic games and esports titles.
Moreover, thanks to the adoption of the energy-efficient AMD Zen 6C micro-core architecture, the console's heat generation and power consumption under heavy loads have been effectively optimized.
By leveraging an advanced manufacturing process and integration with the next-generation RDNA graphics architecture, the PS6 will pave the way for full-featured complex ray tracing rendering. These engineering solutions will collectively ensure that the console has ample technical headroom throughout the lifecycle of next-generation hardware.
