OnePlus 16 debuts BOE's next-generation Oriental Screen: the industry's first global 165Hz ultra-high refresh rate.

August 19 news, today, digital blogger "Digital Chat Station" revealed that the OnePlus 16 will debut BOE's new-generation Oriental Screen, the industry's first to support a global 165Hz ultra-high refresh rate.
At the same time, the new device will ship with ColorOS 17 pre-installed out of the box, and support a new system-level animation effect, further enhancing the smoothness of daily operations and interface transitions.
According to the blogger, the OnePlus 16 will further enhance its high-refresh-rate capability in gaming scenarios, with game frame rates expected to reach 185Hz, continuing to strengthen its high-frame gaming experience.
Previously, the blogger revealed that OnePlus and BOE have jointly customized a new X4 luminescent material. Based on internal testing, this screen surpasses Samsung's M-series luminescent material in almost all metrics.
The leaks show that the BOE X4 screen not only offers lower power consumption and a longer lifespan, but also adopts an ultra-narrow four-sided equal bezel design, delivering significant improvements in display quality, energy efficiency, and front-facing aesthetics.
In terms of core performance, the OnePlus 16 will be among the first to feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8E6 Pro flagship chip, manufactured on TSMC's 2nm process, with a core energy efficiency ratio greatly improved compared to the previous flagship generation.
