Huawei's Yu Chengdong announced: HarmonyOS 6 terminal devices have surpassed 80 million.

At the Enjoy G9 and HarmonyOS Smart Travel new product launch event, Huawei Executive Director Yu Chengdong officially announced that HarmonyOS 6 terminal device shipments have surpassed 80 million units.

Looking back at previously announced milestones, HarmonyOS 6 terminal device numbers officially exceeded 70 million on July 2, adding 10 million new devices in just over a month. The overall growth pace remains steady, moving closer to the previously set goal of surpassing 100 million units before winter this year.

Additionally, the number of registered HarmonyOS developers has now exceeded 11 million, with over 400,000 apps and services available on Huawei's AppGallery. Major mainstream apps have largely completed adaptation and rollout, covering the vast majority of users' daily usage scenarios.

Notably, Huawei's next-generation system, HarmonyOS 7, is also accelerating development. Yu Chengdong simultaneously announced that the Huawei Pura X View will be the first device to ship with the official version pre-installed.

Currently, HarmonyOS 7 has already initiated beta testing for multiple device models among Huawei enthusiasts. The new version focuses on upgrades in areas such as new visual effects, security protection, desktop interaction, and privacy protection.

In terms of visual experience, HarmonyOS 7 introduces a new immersive light effect that covers more system scenarios. For example, dragging desktop icons into large folders or adjusting volume in the control center now delivers richer dynamic visual feedback.

Additionally, the immersive light effect supports adjustable levels, allowing users to navigate to "Settings > Desktop and Personalization > Immersive Light Effect" to customize the display according to personal preference.

In terms of security capabilities, Huawei's new Star Shield anti-fraud feature adds AI voice-changing detection, which can identify forged voices during calls and issue timely risk alerts, further enhancing call security.

Furthermore, the system supports identifying risky QR codes and automatically blocking them, while also detecting fraudulent webpage content and issuing timely warnings when fraud risks are identified.
