HarmonyOS PC gets another upgrade! Huawei MateBook Pro S passes NearLink testing, expected to support NearLink audio

According to media reports, Huawei MateBook Pro S HarmonyOS laptop has passed the SparkLink testing listing, with test suites including SLE RF conformance testing, HID protocol conformance, and high-definition audio protocol conformance testing.
Based on the test suites, the MateBook Pro S will support SparkLink audio (Huawei has not officially announced SparkLink support).
It is understood that SparkLink, leveraging its large-bandwidth architecture and high-order modulation technology, achieves a maximum audio physical layer transmission rate of up to 16Mbps, with bandwidth capabilities far surpassing traditional wireless connection technologies.
The ample transmission bandwidth can easily carry 2.3Mbps, 48kHz/24bit Hi-Fi lossless audio, while also supporting 96kHz/24bit ultra-high-spec audio source transmission, reducing audio compression loss during wireless transmission.
The Huawei MateBook Pro S was just released this month, with its biggest highlight being extreme slimness and lightness—the whole machine weighs only 798g and is as thin as 11.9mm, setting a new record for slimness and lightness among 14-inch all-metal laptops.
The device is powered by the Kirin XE90 high-efficiency PC chip, which, compared to the Kirin X90, delivers a 23% boost in single-core performance, a 25% improvement in energy efficiency, and a 40% increase in NPU computing power, while also supporting on-device local AI computing and ray-traced graphics rendering.
The Huawei MateBook Pro S is equipped with a 54Wh 10% high-silicon anode ultra-thin battery, with an energy density increase of 15% and a 10% reduction in battery weight.
