Hardcore off-roading gets an upgrade! The Haval H9 Lihun Edition makes its debut: wading depth reaches 800mm.

During the 2026 Chengdu International Auto Show, the Haval H9 Lihun Edition made its official debut.
As a new addition to the lineup, this model focuses on enhanced off-road capability, offering yellow and gray color options, and is set to hit the market on August 24.
In terms of exterior design, the Haval H9 Lihun Edition builds on the existing model's design language, featuring a large front grille with horizontal chrome trim, the Haval brand letter logo, and square-outlined circular headlights that boost visual recognition. The vehicle also adds practical features like a snorkel.
Regarding dimensions, referencing the current model, the Haval H9 measures 5070mm in length, 1960mm in width with electric side steps (1976mm with fixed steps), and 1950mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2850mm.
The minimum ground clearance is 226mm, with approach and departure angles of 32 and 26 degrees respectively, a ramp angle of 24 degrees, and a wading depth of 800mm when not fully loaded.
The headlights' near-field illumination (at 40m) has been improved by over 50%, illumination at 100m by 52%, the farthest near-beam lighting distance by 45%, and the farthest high-beam distance by 27%.
Inside, referencing the current model, it features a 15.6-inch central control screen with 2.5K resolution and 93% P3 cinema-grade wide color gamut, paired with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel.
The cabin adds a lava red interior option, with soft-wrapped door panels on all four doors incorporating embedded multi-color ambient lighting.
Under the hood, the vehicle offers two powertrain choices: a 2.0T gasoline engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and a 2.4T diesel engine mated to a 9-speed automatic. All versions come standard with a 2.5-ton towing capacity, legally allowing the hauling of RVs, jet skis, and other equipment.
The chassis features a front double-wishbone independent suspension and a rear multi-link solid axle non-independent suspension. All models are equipped with TOD intelligent four-wheel drive, incorporating Mlock mechanical locking with front and rear differential locks, and add Rock Mode and Expert Mode.
