Breaking the human 400-meter world record! Honor's self-developed robot dashes in 40.6 seconds

The second World Humanoid Robot Games opened in Beijing, with 666 teams and 2,056 robots from 16 countries across six continents competing on the same stage.

On the opening day, the 100-meter and 400-meter large-group preliminaries kicked off first, with robots from all sides engaging in speed showdowns to compete for finals spots.

Honor's official Weibo account announced that in the 400-meter large-group track event at the second World Humanoid Robot Games, Honor's self-developed robot Lightning crossed the finish line in 40.6 seconds, breaking the human world record for that event.

After the race, South African legendary sprinter and men's 400-meter world record holder Van Niekerk also sent his congratulations to Honor's robot Lightning without delay.

Worth noting is that during the preparation phase for this World Humanoid Robot Games, Honor Lightning also completed a 100-meter test, clocking 9.32 seconds with a peak speed of 14.5 meters per second, once again breaking the previous men's 100-meter human world record of 9.58 seconds.

According to reports, Honor Lightning is equipped with Honor's fully self-developed high-torque integrated joint modules and features a full-machine liquid cooling heat dissipation system.

Under high-load, high-speed running scenarios, it can effectively control motor temperature rise, preventing overheating-induced speed reduction from prolonged high-power output.

Meanwhile, relying on dynamic motion control algorithms, the robot can execute explosive starts and high-frequency long-stride sprints while maintaining body posture stability during high-speed running, reducing the probability of imbalance and falls.

Honor stated that the super-endurance, super heat dissipation, and super-reliability design validated by Honor robots on the track will fully return on the Honor Magic9 series.
