Android's most powerful 2nm chip has a new champion! Samsung Exynos 2700's internal benchmark scores surpass Qualcomm's sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Super Ultimate Edition.

According to sources familiar with the matter, Samsung's next-generation flagship chip, the Exynos 2700, has outperformed Qualcomm's sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Super Edition in internal testing, positioning it as potentially the most powerful 2nm chip in the Android ecosystem.
The report indicates that the Exynos 2700's CPU scored 9.5% higher than the sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Super Edition and 19% higher than the sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Edition in Geekbench 6.5 multi-core tests.
GPU performance also leads. Internal tests show that the Exynos 2700's peak GPU score is approximately 5% higher than the sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Super Edition. In low-power scenarios at 2.5W, its advantage is even more pronounced, with GPU scores exceeding the sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Super Edition and sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Edition by 22% and 24%, respectively.
Notably, Samsung also simulated real-world smartphone usage scenarios in testing, finding that the Exynos 2700 consumes 161mA of current, lower than Qualcomm's 185mA, demonstrating superior energy efficiency.
In terms of AI, the report states that when running the Llama 3.1 8B model, the Exynos 2700 generates answers 18% faster than Snapdragon chips.
If the report holds true, Samsung's Exynos 2700 comprehensively leads its competitors in CPU, GPU, AI performance, and energy efficiency. This chip is manufactured using Samsung's own 2nm process, SF2P, which is Samsung's second-generation 2nm GAA technology.
According to information obtained, Samsung's SF2P employs an advanced version of the MBCFET architecture, introducing "nanosheet width modulation" technology, which dynamically adjusts transistor channel width to achieve a more refined balance between performance and power consumption. Additionally, SF2P incorporates backside power delivery network technology to further optimize efficiency.
Compared to SF2, SF2P delivers a 12% performance improvement, 25% lower power consumption, and an 8% reduction in chip area. As planned, the Exynos 2700 will debut in Samsung's next-generation flagship Galaxy S27 series.
