Exactly as previously widely rumored in the market, Xiaomi has officially launched a new round of price increases on several of its main models currently on sale.
According to the latest product details shown on Xiaomi's official online store, all models adjusted in this round have price increases starting from 300 yuan, covering the Xiaomi 17 series, the full REDMI K90 product line, Turbo 5, and several other popular high-volume models currently on the market.
The specific price adjustment details are as follows:
REDMI Turbo 5: starting price raised from 2,299 yuan to 2,599 yuan;
REDMI Turbo 5 Max: from 2,499 yuan to 2,799 yuan;
REDMI K90: from 2,799 yuan to 3,099 yuan;
REDMI K90 Max: from 3,199 yuan to 3,499 yuan;
REDMI K90 Pro Max: from 4,199 yuan to 4,499 yuan;
REDMI K90 Ultimate Edition: from 2,999 yuan to 3,299 yuan;
Xiaomi 17: from 4,499 yuan to 4,799 yuan;
Xiaomi 17 Pro: from 4,999 yuan to 5,399 yuan;
Xiaomi 17 Pro Max: from 5,999 yuan to 6,499 yuan.
The ongoing wave of surging upstream memory chip prices has now been fully transmitted through the supply chain to downstream consumer electronics terminals, directly disrupting the pricing system of the entire smartphone industry. Phones, PCs, and various other digital products have recently seen successive price adjustment notices.
In addition to domestic Android phone makers gradually raising prices, Apple's iPhone 18, set for release this fall, is also unable to withstand cost pressures and faces significant price adjustments, with the high-end Pro models seeing starting prices rise by at least 2,000 yuan.
Lu Weibing, partner and president of Xiaomi Group, president of the mobile phone division, and general manager of the Xiaomi brand, publicly stated that the entire smartphone industry is currently experiencing its most severe moment in nearly a decade, with a completely out-of-control wave of cost increases sweeping across the entire mobile phone market. The budget phone segment with the most affordable pricing is undoubtedly the hardest-hit sector.
In fact, Lu Weibing had already publicly warned about the unprecedented intensity of this round of price increases. He clearly stated that the scale of this memory price surge far exceeded everyone's expectations, with prices for same-spec memory soaring nearly fourfold compared with the first quarter of last year. Storage costs for the 12+512GB configuration rose by about 1,500 yuan, while the increase for the 16+1TB large-memory configuration was even more extreme. This has placed enormous operational pressure on the REDMI brand, which has always adhered to an extreme cost-performance pricing strategy.
