Xiaomi takes the top spot in both camera sales volume and sales revenue in the first half of 2026.

According to data from Aowei Cloud Network on home security camera online sales in the first half of the year, overall market shipments saw a slight decline, but average prices continued to rise. Xiaomi secured the top spot in both sales volume and revenue, while EZVIZ rapidly caught up in the high-end segment.
In the first half of the year, a total of 15.187 million cameras were sold through online channels, down 4.9% compared to the same period last year. Total sales revenue was 3.29 billion yuan, a slight decrease of 0.7%, while the average unit price rose to 217 yuan, an increase of 4.4%. In simple terms, consumers are buying fewer units but are willing to spend more on better devices.
The advantages of leading brands in the industry are growing, with the combined market share of the top three brands continuing to rise. Xiaomi took the top spot in both sales volume and revenue thanks to its affordable range of models and smart home ecosystem, though its own market share saw a slight decline compared to last year.
EZVIZ showed strong growth momentum, with double-digit percentage increases in both sales volume and revenue in the first half of the year. It firmly held the leading position in the high-end market above 300 yuan, while also dominating the niche segment for 4G data models.
Traditional e-commerce platforms have entered a phase of stock competition, with significant declines in sales volume, relying mainly on mid-to-high-end models to boost average prices. In contrast, content e-commerce platforms saw growth against the trend, with both sales volume and revenue rising, focusing on affordable products priced slightly below the overall market average.
Price stratification has become very evident. The share of entry-level models priced below 200 yuan has continued to shrink, while the share of mid-range and high-end products has been steadily increasing. The sales revenue share of high-end models priced above 300 yuan rose by 6.4 percentage points, clearly reflecting a trend of consumption upgrade.
On the product side, indoor PTZ cameras remain mainstream, while demand for outdoor bullet cameras is growing rapidly. In terms of resolution, 5MP models account for 40% of the market, with 8MP high-definition models showing prominent growth, while low-resolution products are gradually being phased out. AI monitoring functions have become standard, with demand surging for pet detection and baby cry recognition, while elderly fall detection is also rapidly gaining adoption.
Overall market demand is tightening, but there is ample room for upgrades. High-definition image quality, AI intelligence, outdoor surveillance, and off-grid power supply are all growth directions for the future. The industry has moved past the phase of low-price, high-volume sales, and relying on product value enhancement to drive revenue will become a long-term trend.
