Chinese robotics company Unitree has officially unveiled its new-generation bionic humanoid robot — the Unitree H2. Standing 180 cm tall and weighing 70 kg, the H2 features a more human-like appearance than its predecessors. In the official demonstration video, the robot is even shown wearing clothes and performing fluid dance and martial arts moves with remarkable balance and smooth joint motion.
Compared with the previous Unitree H1, the new model introduces a bionic face design, pushing the humanoid robot’s resemblance to science-fiction depictions even further.
Unitree gained global attention last year when its H1 robot performed a traditional Chinese dance during the Spring Festival Gala, earning widespread acclaim both domestically and abroad. The H1 was Unitree’s first general-purpose humanoid robot — and the first full-size running humanoid robot developed in China. Standing about 180 cm tall and weighing 47 kg, it can walk and run autonomously across complex terrain with a top speed of 3.3 m/s (with a potential performance of over 5 m/s). It is powered by an 864 Wh swappable battery.
The Unitree H1 also features 360° depth perception through a combination of 3D LiDAR and depth cameras, enabling real-time spatial awareness and panoramic scanning.
