HarmonyOS QQ launches dozens of new features in one go: 10G files can be sent to WeChat friends

According to a post by He Gang of Huawei Terminal, the HarmonyOS version of QQ 9.2.50 has received a major version update, with dozens of practical features launched all at once.

QQ Flash Transfer has officially landed as the most anticipated feature, supporting single files up to 10GB, with lossless original images that can also be shared directly to WeChat friends. The personalized decoration and duo intimate space features that many HarmonyOS users have long awaited have also gone live simultaneously.

QQ Flash Transfer is the core highlight of this update. Whether it's 4K videos or large batches of photos, they can be sent in bulk without compression, with no blurry images or long buffering delays.

The photo selection interface now includes a gallery mode, allowing multiple photos to be zoomed in for detail viewing without repeatedly opening originals for comparison. After sharing, files can be transferred to the QQ Space album with one click, eliminating the need for re-uploading, and batch image downloads are also simpler.

Cross-platform sharing capabilities have been greatly enhanced. Flash Transfer generates exclusive links or QR codes that can be directly forwarded to WeChat family groups or friend chat windows. Recipients don't need to log in to QQ — they can click the link to preview online and download in full. Text announcements can also be attached when sending files, and the page includes quick entry points for adding friends or joining groups, allowing material sharing and communication to be completed simultaneously.

The long-missing personalized decoration features have now been fully added, including global themes, chat backgrounds, chat bubbles, avatar pendants, and personalized avatars that can be freely mixed and matched. Styles cover minimalist, fresh, and trendy categories. After activating SVIP, all decorations can be used for free, allowing users to customize their own chat interface.

The intimate space feature has also gone live, supporting four types of duo relationship binding: couples, close female friends, close male friends, and best buddies. Both parties have an independent private space where they can check in to record daily moments and store photos together, creating a memory storage area that belongs only to the two of them — ideal for young users who enjoy capturing life's snippets.

Multiple basic practical features have been updated as well. Multi-account linking and switching are supported, so work and personal accounts don't require repeated logins; at offline gatherings, entering a 4-digit number allows face-to-face friend adding, skipping the QR code scanning step.

Chat sessions now support hiding for better privacy protection; input status visibility can also be enabled, letting you see in real time when the other person is typing.

Channel management has added pin, highlight, and post-moving operations, making content management easier for group owners. Group member display and personal profile card interfaces have also received detailed optimizations.

Users with HarmonyOS devices can go to the app market to update to the latest version and unlock the full suite of new features, making summer travel photo and video sharing much more convenient.
