China Mobile Chip Major Breakthrough! Dayun Panshi DPU Enters National Museum Collection: Key Technologies Independently Controllable

Recently, China Mobile announced that the China Mobile 01 Star satellite display model, China Mobile 5G-A base station, Dayun Panshi DPU V4.0 chip and other technological achievements have been officially collected by the National Museum of China.

According to reports, China Mobile officially released the Dayun Panshi DPU in 2024, achieving independent and controllable key technologies.

As an important breakthrough for China Mobile in the chip field, the Dayun Panshi DPU V4.0 chip has a bandwidth of 400Gbps, doubling the maximum transmission rate of domestic DPU chips.

In terms of performance, the chip has a processing capability of million-level data packets per second, with Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) latency as low as 5 microseconds, meeting the high-bandwidth, low-latency data processing needs of data centers.

At the same time, the Dayun Panshi DPU V4.0 also features low power consumption and low cost.

The Panshi DPU hardware board built on this chip, compared to the previous generation product, reduces power consumption by 50% and cost by 50%, further improving the deployment efficiency and usage benefits of data center infrastructure.

It is understood that DPU, or Data Processing Unit, is a dedicated processor designed for scenarios such as data centers. It can handle data processing tasks such as networking, storage, and security, freeing up CPU computing power and thereby improving overall computing efficiency.

The Dayun Panshi DPU V4.0 chip will be widely used in China Mobile data center construction in the future, supporting business scenarios such as general-purpose computing and intelligent computing.
