Body extended by 150mm, LiDAR installed! 2027 BYD Seal 06 launched: starting at 99,900 yuan

On the evening of August 11, the 2027 BYD Seal 06 officially launched, positioned as a "fully-equipped B-class family sedan." A total of 12 trim levels were introduced, with six each for the pure electric and DM-i plug-in hybrid versions. The DM-i plug-in hybrid is priced from 99,900 to 141,900 yuan, while the EV version ranges from 109,900 to 155,900 yuan.
The new car measures 4,870mm in length, 1,890mm in width, and 1,495mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,820mm. Compared to the current model, the EV version adds 150mm in length and 10mm in width, while the DM-i version gains 40mm in length and 30mm in wheelbase. Interior lateral space and rear legroom have been expanded accordingly, and the pure electric version also adds a front trunk.
Key highlights include a roof-mounted LiDAR, the "God's Eye B" advanced driver assistance system, the fifth-generation DM super hybrid technology, second-generation Blade Battery with flash charging, a maximum pure electric range of 630km, and the YunNian-C intelligent adaptive suspension.
In terms of exterior design, the new car removes the large grille from the current plug-in hybrid version, with the DM-i and EV models adopting a unified closed front face for the first time. The smoked dual-lens LED headlights feature sharper lines, and the front bumper gains three-dimensional air ducts on both sides.
The side profile retains the classic fastback coupe silhouette of the Seal series, with blacked-out B and C pillars creating a floating roof effect. Semi-hidden door handles are adopted, and wheel options include 16, 17, and 18-inch sizes.
At the rear, the through-type wave taillights feature a smoked design, and the central BYD logo is illuminated. Five exterior colors are available: Polar Tide Green, Atlantis Gray, Sea Cloud Gray, Warm Sun White, and Snowfield White.
Intelligence is the highlight of this upgrade. High-spec trims feature an externally mounted LiDAR on the roof, paired with the God's Eye B driver assistance system, supporting urban navigation, highway navigation, and full-scenario intelligent parking. The intelligent driving hardware is on par with models in the 200,000-yuan class.
The cabin continues with the floating central touchscreen and DiLink system. For the chassis, high-spec trims are equipped with the YunNian-C intelligent adaptive suspension, which adjusts damping based on road conditions to balance handling and comfort.
In terms of powertrain and range, the DM-i version is powered by the fifth-generation DM super hybrid system, featuring a 1.5L engine with a maximum output of 74kW and a drive motor rated at 175kW. CLTC pure electric range is available in 230km and 320km variants.
The EV version upgrades its motors to 120kW and 240kW, equipped with the second-generation Blade Battery and flash charging technology, offering CLTC ranges of 530km and 630km respectively.
From a pricing strategy perspective, the entry price of the 2027 Seal 06 is only 3,000 yuan higher than the current model (starting at 96,800 yuan), yet the top trim adds LiDAR, YunNian-C suspension, and 630km of range—delivering far more value than the price increase suggests.
