After Dong Yuhui and other anchors left, East Buy turned from loss to profit: from a loss of 110 million to a profit of 663 million.

Recently, East Buy released its annual results announcement for the fiscal year ending May 31, 2026.

Notably, this is the company's first full fiscal year report following the departure of renowned streamer Dong Yuhui and the subsequent resignations of four core anchors: Mingming, Tianquan, Zhongcan, and Linlin.

The financial report shows that during the reporting period, the company achieved revenue of 5.701 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 29.8%. Excluding the revenue impact from the "with Dong Yuhui" livestream room, the year-on-year growth would be 36.3%.

Operating profit turned from a loss of 110 million yuan in the previous fiscal year to a profit of 663 million yuan, achieving a turnaround from losses to gains.

Profit for the year reached 544 million yuan, an increase of 8,684.8% compared to 6.19 million yuan in fiscal 2025. Adjusted net profit increased by 262.2% from 174 million yuan in fiscal 2025 to 629 million yuan in fiscal 2026.

East Buy's overall GMV grew 36.4% from 7.5 billion yuan in the same period last year, reaching 10.2 billion yuan.

Meanwhile, self-operated products are gradually establishing themselves as East Buy's core foundation, with self-operated product GMV accounting for over half of total GMV for the first time at 52.6%. The company's strategic transformation from a livestream platform to a brand retailer is beginning to show results.

It is reported that in late April this year, the four aforementioned anchors announced their departures within days of each other. In their farewell letters, all four expressed difficulty adapting to the operational changes brought by the new management.

Among them, anchors Tianquan and Mingming, after leaving, jointly invested with former East Buy CEO Sun Dongxu to establish a new company, re-entering the livestream e-commerce sector.
