The top domestic flagship! The 1TB version of the Mate 80 standard edition is now on sale at 6499. Huawei aims to ship 10 million units of the series.

Huawei quietly listed the 1TB storage version of the Mate 80 standard edition. According to insiders familiar with the supply chain, one of the core purposes of Huawei launching this high-memory, high-spec configuration is to raise the overall average selling price of the entire Mate 80 series, while also further boosting the series' total shipment volume and digesting existing production capacity.
From the product listing page on Huawei's official mall, it can be seen that the current Mate 80 standard edition only offers the 16GB+1TB configuration option in the Obsidian Black colorway, with an official price of 6,499 yuan. Consumers with valid student certification can also enjoy exclusive discounts, bringing the final price down to as low as 6,199 yuan.
The Mate 80 standard edition is powered by the self-developed Kirin 9020 chip, paired with the latest HarmonyOS 6 operating system. According to official testing, the overall integrated performance of the device is 35% higher than the previous generation, with noticeable upgrades in everyday smoothness and background multi-app keep-alive capabilities.
In terms of imaging, it debuts the second-generation Red Maple imaging system, featuring a 50-megapixel RYYB variable-aperture main camera, plus a 12-megapixel periscope telephoto lens supporting 5.5x optical zoom, delivering solid shooting performance across both close-up and distant scenes.
This standard edition also marks the first time the 3D face recognition feature, previously exclusive to Pro series models, has been brought down to the standard lineup. It also comes standard with signature Huawei exclusive features such as off-network communication, outdoor exploration mode, and the HarmonyOS AI all-scenario assistant, making the configuration impressively generous.
The device houses a large 5,750mAh battery, supports a combined charging solution of 66W wired fast charging plus 50W wireless fast charging, and also meets IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance standards, maximizing durability for all-scenario use.
At present, the cumulative total sales of the Mate 80 series have officially surpassed 8 million units. Based on the current sales pace, the series can basically maintain a steady shipment rate of 100,000 units per week. Following this trend, it is expected to achieve cumulative sales of over 10 million units around October this year, significantly faster than the previous generation of Mate series flagships.
