Samsung Electronics officially released its performance report for the second fiscal quarter of fiscal year 2026 today, covering the period from April 2026 to June 2026. In this quarter, Samsung's overall operating revenue reached 171.5 trillion Korean won, equivalent to approximately 791.815 billion yuan at current exchange rates, a year-on-year increase of 130.00%, doubling compared to the same period last year.

Furthermore, the company's net profit for the quarter also hit a record high for the same period, reaching 71.27 trillion Korean won, equivalent to about 329.054 billion yuan (over 3.6 billion yuan per day), a year-on-year surge of 1344.46%, more than ten times the net profit of the same period last year.

The core driver behind Samsung's explosive earnings growth is the sustained increase in storage chip prices over the past two years. The industry-wide trend of rising volumes and prices has directly led to a significant improvement in corporate profit levels, pushing the profitability of top storage manufacturers to near-record highs in recent years.

An even more striking key figure is that Samsung's operating profit for this quarter reached 89.49 trillion Korean won, equivalent to approximately 413.175 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1813.83%. The pace of the group's overall profitability recovery has completely exceeded all market expectations from analytical agencies, with the storage chip business contributing over 70% of the profit increase.
