China surpasses the US to capture 2/3 of global API call volume; Xiaomi MiMo large model ranks first in global API call volume.

Last week (July 20–July 26), the top five globally in terms of call volume were all Chinese AI large models. Among them, Xiaomi MiMo-V2.5 rose to first place, with a weekly call volume of 10.5 trillion Tokens, a month-over-month increase of 12%.

As can be seen from the chart, the top five globally in call volume last week were all Chinese AI large models. In order: Xiaomi MiMo-V2.5, followed closely by DeepSeek V4 Flash, Tencent HY3, Zhipu GLM-5.2, and DeepSeek V4 Pro.

In fact, not only last week, but throughout the entire month of July, the Xiaomi MiMo large model has led global large models.

According to the latest data from OpenRouter, MiMo-V2.5 secured the double crown on the global large model weekly call volume list and monthly call volume list, and was also the only large model to break through the 10 trillion Token call volume mark in a single week; its monthly total call volume reached 31.20 trillion Tokens, leading DeepSeek V4 Flash's 23.58 trillion Tokens, attracting extensive adoption by global developers.

Previously, OpenRouter officially disclosed that the global market share of domestic large models had surpassed that of US large models as early as early June;

As of July 26, the global proportion of domestic AI models over the past 28 days rose to 63.5%, while US models accounted for only 35.5%. The gap between the two continues to widen, with domestic large models holding nearly two-thirds of the global market.

It is also understood that the MiMo-V2.5 series model began public beta testing on April 23. The product is positioned as a universal base large model suited for the Agent era, supporting million-level context windows and possessing full-modal analysis capabilities for text, images, video, and audio.

Since May, the overseas call popularity of this model has been steadily rising, with weekly Token call volume increasing from 1.46 trillion to 10.46 trillion, a cumulative increase of approximately 616% over two months.
